Most patiens who come to me  tell me they skip breakfast to lose weight because eating breakfast makes them tired and hungry all day long. This like starting your car in the morning with the gas gauge on Empty!  The problem is not eating, it is what they eat:  That pastry does not do it, in fact, it raises insulin and sets   blood sugar on a slalom curve that soars and plummets driving sugar cravings all day long. The Hidden Fat in Restaurant Eating

 The better the restaurant, the more butter. If you are not a smart eater you will have problems. Starting with your appetizer, order a seafood or a salad of some kind. You can always ask for the dressing on the side. Your main dish should be something you can identify, not something that swims  in a sauce and requires an explaination.  Forget the perennial bed of  mashed potaoes on which everything rests, it is usually soaked in fat.  Vegetables are often symbolic.  Ask for them,  “without butter please.”  For dessert you may ask for  fresh fruit or just ONE scop of ice cream – not a whole Sundae.

You will feel full, light and refreshed from a light refreshing meal.  Two hours later you will be glad you spared your body the damage!
